Custom Home Builder...

"Perfect is the enemy of good." -Voltaire

This quote by Voltaire may be true, unless of course, you are a custom home builder. In that case, good-enough should not be a part of your vocabulary.

When I went through the construction process of my own custom home several years ago, I began the process with hopeful anticipation that my dream would come to fruition after years of saving and burning the candle at both ends.

After meeting with a "custom home" builder to discuss my vision, he excitedly took me on.

After purchasing an incredible piece of property overlooking a lake, we began to break ground.

Breaking ground on a new build is always a day of anxious excitement for my clients, and I was no exception.

I had high expectations, and I was paying for them! The layout of my home was unique and certainly had design features that gave it that “WOW” factor.

Unfortunately it became apparent, rather quickly, that the person building my home really wasn’t offering me a custom build. What I was getting was semi-custom with standard faucets, toilets, and below average lighting. None of which fit the style of house being built.

When I requested simple adjustments, I was met with what felt like contempt, “Yeah sure! You can have that, but it’s going to cost ya.” I understood changes and custom additions wouldn’t be free, but what I didn’t understand is what I presume was included wasn’t, and what was installed was preselected but never discussed.

What was meant to be one of the most positive experiences of my life turned into one of the worst. Every encounter felt heavy, and I certainly didn’t feel like a valued customer.

When an incredibly cheap builder grade fireplace was inserted on my feature wall with vaulted ceilings, my frustration began to take a physical toll. I literally lost sleep after having to pay him to remove something I didn't even select.

I couldn’t wrap my head around a “custom home builder” using cheap materials that didn’t fit the feel or style of my home.

It was this nightmare that eventually led to the birth of Urban Spark. What I provide my clients is an experience that is reminiscent of my business philosophy….

I'm not just offering you a custom home build, I'm offering you a new lifestyle. Every aspect of your experience should be an exciting adventure that you remember with affection.

It is with great honor that I help my clients make their dream home a reality. If you don't have a clear vision, we will work with you to develop one.

We guarantee you receive a 100% custom build. A build that functions ideally according to how your family operates both now and in the future. We discuss all of your design features over multiple meetings with our in-house designer. This ensures your vision is in alignment with what we can create for you and encourages open and realistic communication about selections and budget.

I forgot to mention that by the time my home was done, I was $100,000 over my budget.

This money was NOT anticipated, and I was left with a decision.

Come up with the money?

Or lose everything I already invested out of pocket and watch my builder sell my home to another.

It was disheartening at best.

When I started my business I vowed to never put money before my clients. In my years of being in business and investments, I have lived by the philosophy that if you take care of people the money will follow. It has served me well financially, but more importantly, internally.

In closing, I truly believe that when building your home, perfection is the only standard that is good-enough.

Coach / Ad Strategist for Financial Advisors...

As a Wealth Management Specialist, I worked at one of the "big 5" banks and held some noteworthy positions.

At one point in my 25 year career, I even found myself working for a private investment/financial planning firm catering to NHL players and C Suite executives.

I felt like I had finally arrived.

But after over two decades in the industry I had burnt out!

My days were spent energetically assisting clients and my evenings, more often than not, were spent attending endless networking events.

At first it was impressive, and I felt notable. Each quality connection served a greater purpose and led to my feeling of accomplishment and success.

In the beginning I was on fire. I couldn't get enough. I'd attained (and still hold today) the following designations:

CFP (Certified Financial Planner)

FMA (Financial Management Advisor)

CIWM(Certified International Wealth Manager)

But what I was doing wasn't sustainable.

I felt culpable knowing that I spent much of my "free time" busy. My daughter was growing up before my eyes, and I was rigged with guilt knowing I was missing far too much.

In addition, a woman on my team was diagnosed with cancer. She was young and the deadly disease took her from me so quickly.

I knew something had to change expeditiously.

So I took some time off to recenter.

Unfortunately, my team & clients paid the price, and I found myself in another state of conviction.

SO, after a fair amount of research I made THE BIGGEST life altering decision possible.

I quit my job... (If it doesn't scare you, you're NOT thinking big enough, right?)

Well what happened next changed everything…

Some might say quitting your job is equivalent to a
mid life crisis, but that wasn’t the case at ALL.

I was unwilling to settle and unwilling to work under someone else's umbrella, so I invested a great deal of money in education and mentorship!

I studied under the very best in today’s industry and immediately got my new clients BIG wins.

Why?

Because there are more than 1.7 billion daily active Facebook™ users and 100 million on Instagram™, many in great need of a Financial Advisor!

I know the grind. I know how hard it is to obtain leads and acquire quality clientele as an FA.

Creating strategies to gain new clients...

Implementing strategies...

Assessing the performance of your efforts...

There’s a better way my friend!

What I do now is not all that different from what I've always done except now I’m helping people who are where I was.

I apply PROVEN strategies, I analyze data, and I help dedicated professionals take their business next level by automating their lead generation for them.

There are people out there that are in GREAT need of your services.

You DON'T need to find them. I CAN help them FIND YOU!

What does this essentially mean for you?

MORE MONEY & MORE TIME

You don’t need to change your vision, just your strategy!

I‘ve always found it really difficult to write about myself, so when it was time to update my brand story I hired Mandy. I was so happy with the work I started to cry. I called her to let her know she nailed it and as she put into words exactly what I was trying to say. If you are looking for some help, Mandy is absolutely worth every single copper penny.
